Lim is married to Joyce and have three children; two daughters and a boy. He is also a grandfather of two granddaughters. Lim early days hobby is Nature. He takes a trip to the islands and national parks in Malaysia to enjoy God’s creation. There he finds his peace and motivation. These days, Lim rides a 750 cc Honda and a Harley Davidson to enjoy the freedom after the many years of being in the corporate life.
About Lim
His passion nowadays is to mentor young graduates and give them the accelerated learning from his experience and achieve 40 years of experience within 4 years. He has seen many of his mentees over the last 20 years achieving successful careers.
Lim Eng Weng is a Director of Matrix Paradigm, an organisation that he started in October 2011.
Lim arrived today after 40 years of working life since 1971. His speciality is in Strategic Management, Organisational Transformation, Sales & Marketing development and Customer Relationship Management.
His last position is as Managing Director of Ricoh Malaysia after 21 years of service. He displayed his leadership in the digital office solutions with his vision, passion and determination for expansion has helped Ricoh Malaysia achieve exemplary growth and strong market presence locally. Lim first started his work life learning about operations and organisation management from 1971 till 1981. He learned every aspect of organisation operations working his way from rank and file. He has held roles in warehouse & logistics, storekeeping, forklift driver, shipping clerk besides many others.
For the next 10 years, Lim learned all about Sales Management after joining Xerox Corporation from 1981 till 1990. Started as a salesman, he finished as National Sales Manager after having done sales training, product specialist and dealer management.In 1991, Lim joined Inchacape Malaysia as General Manager, which then became Ricoh Malaysia in 2000. There he gained experience in Marketing, Sales, Technical, HR and General Management.
At Ricoh Malaysia , Lim applied hands-on and often non-conventional approach to lead and motivate the company. Under his stewardship, Ricoh Malaysia has been transformed into a vibrant organization with high morale and empowered staff. Lim was a member for 15 years in Vistage Malaysia to expand his knowledge of other industries like manufacturing, advertising, distribution and many others. The “ideology” of enhancing the lives of CEOs attracted him to Vistage.
Today for the past three years, Lim coaches over 30 CEOs/Entrepreneurs to achieve their business goals via his vast working experience. He is also learning from them in their various industries and positions they are in. He also consults with companies that want to improve their sales performance. He assists companies to strengthen their sales teams and also supports in Sales strategies formulation.
