About Kevin
Kevin brings a unique perspective to Knod as he was an early corporate sponsor of projects at Neumont University where project based learning with employers was pioneered. Kevin looks to use this hands-on experience to help other employers see the opportunity in partnering with Knod to develop students to become well trained and develop relevant skills for global operations.
Kevin provides over 25 years of experience in international sales and business development, along with 15 years in technology development. Over the years Kevin’s leadership has forged successful strategic relationships with leading technology companies like Microsoft, NEC, Hitachi, Cisco, Amazon, Level 3 Communications, NTT, among others.
In 1996, as founder and CTO of SkyWave, Inc., a Pulver 100 company, Kevin pioneered the deployment of VoIP technologies and established the first operational VoIP network in Japan. Kevin and SkyWave went on to develop the market’s first real-time VoIP billing engine and took Japan’s first ever IP-PBX business phone system to market.
Kevin then went on to Co-Found LignUp Corporation in 2004 and served as its President and Chief Operating Officer. LignUp developed and brought to market the world’s first ever web services based communications platforms which fundamentally changed how communication services could be developed. As a recognized leader in the VoIP industry, Kevin was also responsible for the creation of the VoIP Forum of Japan and was a member of its board of directors.
