Daniels Ochieng
Director Kenya Engagement
Daniels, a Starehe Boys old boy, is passionate about telecoms and electronics - having graduated from Atlantic I. University (US), the EDT of Israel and Starehe Technical Institute in Nairobi. He is a pioneer version seven Certified Ethical Hacker (CEHv7) and a CAST 614 Network Defender among others.
He was originally trained as an IT security professional, but his earlier career in telecoms and banking compliance prepared him for a role on Audit, Risk, and Revenue Assurance. He has worked in up to 9 Telecom companies in various capacities, and also been a key team member and a consultant on a number of Africa government and multinational projects funded by the World Bank, Africa Development Bank, DANIDA and UNDP.
Daniels has had an illustrious career beginning at Citibank in Nairobi, to British American Tobacco, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Daimler Chrysler SA, BT Consulting Group, GM, LAP Green Networks (Libya Investment Authority) and many others. He has also been a Technology/Electronics Consultant for the WorldBank.
When not working, Daniels enjoys quiet family time with his wife and family, in Nairobi, Kenya.
Geoffrey Ajiki

Geoffrey’s passion about teaching led him to his first classroom experience as a teacher at Oasis of Hope Secondary School in Kisumu immediately after graduating from high school.
From there, he joined Reach Out OVC, a community support project in Kisumu County and later the Jones and Ringroad Orphans Project as a project assistant. Through his work with the Non-Governmental Organizations, he has gained experience in program administration and support coordination, with competencies in handling development projects, policies and procedures with focus on bottom up development strategies in community management and development, strategic planning and implementation.
He holds a diploma in Applied Technology (Emergency Medical Technician) and will be graduating with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and Community Development from Kenyatta University where he also served as the Deputy Secretary General of the students union. He has been actively involved with the Talloires Network, an international association of institutions committed to strengthening the civic roles and social responsibilities of higher education.
Christine Amwayi
Kenya Registrar
Prior to joining Knod, she worked at Safaricom Limited in Nairobi, Kenya for close to 5 years as Sales and Marketing Agent and Social Media Costumer Care Representative. Christine began her career in Kenya Airways in 2008, as a Sales and Ticketing agent.
She is a volunteer at Kikwetu Youth Group, a self-help group empowering young people in the Kangemi slums. Her academic background includes Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management by MOI University and Master’s in Business Administration by University of Nairobi.
Christine loves traveling, cooking and social media.
Ann Gakio
Higher Education Counsellor
Ann is an experienced relationship management and sales professional, fully committed to Knod’s vision to close the Education to Employment GAP. Before joining Knod, she developed her career in a wide range of sectors like hospitality (Hotel Intercontinental Nairobi), banking (Barclays Bank Kenya), telecommunications (Safari Telecomm) and in the oil and gas industry (Hashi Energy).
Ann holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing by University of Nairobi, and a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration by Cardiff Business School (Wales).
