Knod, a talent development system that eliminates the gap between learners and employers through project-based learning, today announced the introduction of Corey Loucy as director of community engagement.
As a key member of the Knod global sales team, Loucy will develop channels for reaching new learners who fit in the jobs available through agreements with employers worldwide. His focus will be on creating a pool of candidates that will be transformed through Knod’s unique workforce preparation model to become some of the most highly sought-after talent on the job market.
“By generating awareness and developing relationships with employers, Loucy will help Knod generate the talented, work-ready individuals to meet the needs of employers, speaking to our goal of eliminating the education-to-employment gap”, said Luisa Tristan, managing director of stakeholder engagement at Knod.
Through the guidance of a distinguished Career Advisory Board, as well as employer partners, Knod cultivates work-ready employees with a project-based learning program. Working with employer partners enables Knod to deliver the talent that organizations need to fuel their workforce.
Prior to joining Knod, Loucy was president of college admissions consultancy 4YearGurus and the director of advising and transfer at Paradise Valley Community College and Phoenix College in Arizona. He also has held coordinating positions at Arizona State University and the University of Richmond in Virginia.
“While the traditional education system does a good job communicating and teaching theory, it fundamentally fails to produce opportunities for application,” Loucy said. “This means more and more students leave college without hands-on experience, and just aren’t prepared for a job. Knod is solving this issue by serving as a hybrid of education and employee training, where employee needs are fulfilled by student success outcomes. Employers can be confident in the qualifications of Knod learners entering the workforce.”
